Ralph was born and raised in Lakewood, CA. After high school, Ralph obtained a US Navy ROTC scholarship and attended the University of Arizona in where he graduated in 1992 with a degree in Finance.  
 
Upon graduating from the U of A, Ralph received his commission as an Ensign in the Navy, married his high school sweetheart, Cindy Doyle, and moved to Penascola, FL to begin Navy flight training. After completing the Navy's API training, Ralph moved to Corpus Christi, TX for primary and intermediate flight training and then back to Florida for helicopter training. While in helicopter training Ralph experienced issues with his vision which, unfortunately, ended his flying. He was subsequently reassigned to the Navy's Supply Corps and moved to Athens, GA for training. Upon completing training, Ralph moved with his family to San Diego where he joined the USS Vandegrift (FFG48) as the Supply Officer. Ralph left the US Navy in 1998. Since then, Ralph has worked in an Operation or Supply Chain capacity holding positions as a Production Supervisor, Buyer/Planner, Inventory Manager, Logistics Manager and Materials Manager. He has worked for both private and public companies including Parker Hannifin, Hunter Industries, Solar Turbines and United Technologies. He is currently a Production Planning Manager with Cobham in Kearny Mesa.  
 
Ralph and his wife Cindy have been married for 24 years. They live in Chula Vista with their two children, Nicholas (21) and Alyssa (16) and enjoy traveling, community service through their church and spending time as a family. Ralph has been fortunate to travel with his family to Uganda in East Africa on two occasions to serve at a boarding school and orphanage supported by his church. He also enjoys outdoor activities, walking, running, golf and reading.
