  More than 111\,000\,000 health records were breached in 2015 alone\, or a
 bout 35% of the U.S. population. Today’s presentation will review some o
 f the common cybersecurity threats to health care organizations\, and stra
 tegies hospitals and other providers use to protect your personal health a
 nd payment information.   Bio  Bryan C. Kissinger\, PhD VP IT Risk Manag
 ement and Chief Information Security Officer Sharp HealthCare   Bryan is 
 Vice President\, IT Risk Management and Chief Information Security Officer
  (CISO) for Sharp HealthCare in San Diego\, California. He is a key member
  of Sharp’s IT Leadership Team focusing on managing IT risks and the pro
 tection of critical information and computing infrastructure. He is respon
 sible for leading the enterprise-wide IT risk management function and the 
 information security operations team for Sharp HealthCare.   Prior to joi
 ning Sharp in February of 2016\, Bryan was an Executive Director and the H
 IPAA Privacy and Security Program Leader for Kaiser Permanente. In that ro
 le\, he was responsible for providing strategic direction and managing the
  operational execution team for HIPAA Privacy and Security enterprise-wide
 . Responsibilities included preventing the breach of sensitive information
  and improving compliance with federal and state data protection laws. Bry
 an also served as a key leader in the development of a comprehensive integ
 rated risk management framework designed to unify disparate risk framework
 s and technology solutions used across the enterprise.   Previously\, Bry
 an held leadership roles with PricewaterhouseCoopers\, LLP and the Mayo Cl
 inic.  He is a Navy veteran\, having served as a Surface Warfare Officer 
 for seven years on active duty with tours in the Western Pacific and Persi
 an Gulf theaters.   Bryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Uni
 versity of Maryland\, a master’s degree in Business Administration\, and
  a PhD in Information Technology Management. His certifications include CI
 SSP\, CISA\, CCNA\, CWNA\, and MCP for Microsoft Windows 2000.
