General Information
 
One Rotary Club of Chula Vista “Joseph Rindone Service Scholarship” in the amount of $1,000 will be provided to a graduating senior student from each of the five Sweetwater District high schools served by the Chula Vista Rotary Club. One Rotary Club of Chula Vista “Bill Padelford Academic Scholarship” in the amount of $1,000 will also be provided to a graduating senior student from each of these five Sweetwater District high schools.  Stipends and certificates of recognition will be presented directly to recipients at a Rotary Club awards program held prior to graduation.  Recipients will also be recognized at their individual schools' senior awards programs. 
 
Eligibility
 
The Rotary “Joseph Rindone Service Scholarship” and the Rotary “Bill Padelford Academic Scholarship” are made available to graduating seniors at five high schools in the Chula Vista area: Castle Park High School, Chula Vista High School, Hilltop High School, Olympian High School, and Otay Ranch High School. Seniors attending Eastlake High School or Bonita Vista High School should contact the Rotary Club of Chula Vista Eastlake (Sunset) or the Chula Vista Sunrise Rotary Club (Bonita) for information about their scholarship programs. 
 
Instructions
 
Request a scholarship application form in an email to the Rotary Scholarship Committee:  sdbill2@gmail.com
 
Include (1) your name, (2) your school, and (3) your email address.
The subject line of your email should read: Chula Vista Rotary.
A single application will cover either the Rotary “Joseph Rindone Service Scholarship,” the Rotary “Bill Padelford Academic Scholarship,” or both. The application form will be forwarded to you in reply to your request to the above address.
 
Files comprising your application will include (1) your completed application form, saved in PDF format, (2) a scanned copy of your transcript (both sides), and (3) scanned copies of any recommendations you may request from teachers, counselors, and others.
All files must be submitted electronically in PDF file format.
 
Label each of your electronic files as follows:
Your last name
School initials in all caps
The type of form: application (ap), transcript (trans), or recommendation (rec), in lower case.
 
Examples of correctly labeled electronic files:
 
APPLICATION: SmithCVHSap.pdf
 
TRANSCRIPT: SmithCVHStrans.pdf  (A separate scan for each side of the transcript is required if a single electronic file is not available.)
 
RECOMMENDATIONS: SmithCVHSrec.pdf .  Letters from teachers, counselors, or school administrators, etc. are optional.  (A separate scan for each recommendation is required.)
 
Return all of your completed application electronic files (above), attached to a single email to the Rotary Scholarship Committee: sdbill2@gmail.com
 
Deadline for submitting applications:  April 16, 2019 (Midnight).
  
FAILURE TO SEND APPLICATION FORMS BY MIDNIGHT, APRIL 16, 2019, MAY DISQUALIFY THE APPLICANT.
