George Gillow and Dairy Farms in Chula Vista and Bonita
George (local Kiwanian) will come and share about dairy farms in the Chula Vista and Bonita (Sweetwater Valley) areas. There were hundreds of dairies in San Diego County in the 20th Century. This will be a story about a few of the dairies and some people who worked and/or lived at these farms. One person was Rotarian Bud Wilson who lived at a dairy farm owned by his grandfather.

Come take a trip down memory lane with us this week!

The meeting will begin promptly at 12:00 p.m.

INTERCOUNTRY COMMITTEES: OPENING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEACE
Are you interested in peacebuilding? Do you want to connect with members from around the world? Would you like to establish an affiliation across borders? Plan to join us at Intercountry Committees: Opening Opportunities for Peace, a one-day preconvention event on 11 June in Taipei, Taiwan. (VIRTUAL CONFERENCE THIS YEAR)

Intercountry committees offer the opportunity for fellowship and service between clubs in multiple countries. You’ll learn how to start a new intercountry committee or expand an existing one to foster peace, international goodwill, and service. Hear from inspiring speakers, participate in interactive breakout sessions, and engage in relationship-building networking opportunities.

Registration is now open. Learn more and invite a friend to join you.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!
Did you know the Chula Vista Rotary Club was chartered on February 15, 1926? That makes our club 95-years-old!  As with wine, we get better with age.
