Rick Richardson President/CEO of Child Development Associates, a nonprofit that supports low income families with child care. He would like to share what CDA’s mission, impact, their humble roots 40 years ago started by his mother, a preschool teacher out of a church preschool on Palm Avenue, to one of the largest nonprofits in San Diego. Their corporate office is located on Otay Lakes Road. He can speak to how he used is skills as an Army Combat Arms Colonel and applied it to leadership, strategic planning and vision to take on a state-wide leadership role with the California Alternative Payment Association to advocate for increased state funding for low income families. In six years, he has led the company from a $40M nonprofit to one of the largest in San Diego County of $90M in funding, this year CDA will break $100M in funding in the next year.
