Sweetwater Park Bike Trail

Susie Murphy is the Executive Director of the San Diego Mountain Biking Association. In her own words: “I like to say that in my life I have only only had a 10 year attention span. At least that is what my resume shows! As an art history major, I started in art sales and museum work out of college and sprinkled in lots of volunteer time with Girl Scouts. As my two kids become of school age and with a husband who was a middle school teacher, I got my teaching credential so that we could all have the same vacation times and hopefully could mold some young minds at the same time. I kept my hand in with non-profit work through lots of volunteer time and knew that at some point I would make my way into that sector.”

Bike Park - Coming Soon!

“Designed in collaboration with the cyclist community, the park will offer a variety of trails and special features to appeal to riders of all skill levels.
The bike park is the first of its kind for the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation, and a welcome addition to an already bustling regional park - known for its camping, hiking, splash pad, sports and picnic opportunities.

Slated to open early 2019, Sweetwater Bike Park will be free and open to all ages. Anticipated features include jump lines, flow trails and pump tracks with progressive options to allow riders to develop their skills over time. “
